Maple Grove Resort on
The Salmon River

Picture
Your home away from home
Imagine a place where an angler's wildest dream is never more than a cast away from reality.  That world is awaiting you at Maple Grove Resort.  Situated on a 1000 foot stretch of Salmon River frontage, your log cabin will be your home away from home while you test your abilities and wits against the resident steelhead, brown trout and salmon that make this river nationally famous.  The stories are true.  From your "home base" at Maple Grove you will be able to walk, or take a short drive, to access miles of world class water and angle in legendary pools. All you need to bring is the food you wish to eat, the clothes you want to wear
and your fishing tackle.

Your Private Cabin

Your cabin, which is available by the day or week and can comfortably accommodate 2-4 people, might best be described as rustic-modern. Rustic to keep the charm and character of a true log cabin, but with all the conveniences required to fulfill the demands of the 21st century vacationer; a fully functional kitchen with stove and refrigerator, pots and pans and utensils, and plenty of cabinet storage...even a coffee maker and microwave. You will also have your own parking spot two steps from your enticing font porch. After a rewarding day on the river, relax with a hot shower and fluffy towels, and satellite television to keep you informed and entertained before you fall to sleep on fresh bed linins under cozy blankets.

Angle in Legendary Pools

Legendary Pools
Maple Grove wants to be as big a reason for your next visit as the fabulous fishing or the spectacular Lake Ontario region in which we are located. To ensure your place by the river, reservations are strongly suggested to avoid any disappointment.

Maple Grove offers easy access to such legendary pools as Schoolhouse, Trestle, Sportsman's, Ellis Cove and Staircase, just to mention a few of the  hallowed by name. It is also wise jot to overlook other area waters which offer excellent opportunities for a wide variety of both cold and warm water species.

Year 'Round Activities

Each season presents new activities for the non-fishing guest as well. Snowmobiling, skiing and snow-tubing in the winter. The warmer weather brings art festivals and craft fairs, four-wheeling, canoeing,  kayaking and boating on Lake Ontario only a few miles away. Cooler temperatures offer hunting and the glorious  autumn foliage that crowns the mountains and vallys surrounding Maple Grove.

The immediate area offers  excellent restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  There are numerous quality tackle shops & outfitters to accommodate any angling need
.
